Cost Modeling Made Easy

Many health care systems have invested in Decision Support Systems to analyze the costs of providing services.  These systems incorporate departmental costs, procedure volumes, and Relative Value Units (RVUs).  

APRICOT integrates this data into a single-page, cost-modeling environment that allows easy updates to RVU information, recalculates per unit costs, and saves data in a format that is easy to use.  It effectively turns a difficult, cumbersome process into a quick, responsive management tool.

Cost is an important price component. A rational price system requires methods to determine the fully loaded and incremental cost of each item to be priced.  These methods should be applied consistently and be easy to administer and explain.
